You have 5-10 years of experience in the construction or fertilizer handling industry
You get what it takes to manage construction projects in Western Canada, with everything from contracts to substantial completion to regulations and subtrades
You have an uncanny ability to stay organized, see the big picture and manage all the details - seamlessly
You understand Lean, continuous improvement and the importance of structure and process

You’re a real planner with a proactive think-ahead mindset
You can read blueprints backwards and forwards; they make sense to you
You have a solid knack for creating and managing a project schedule
You have a solid understanding of business principles including financial, legal and staffing
You excel at MS Office products (Bonus for MS Project, AutoCAD and Inventor knowledge)
You communicate clearly and effectively both internally and externally, verbal and written
You have a genuine sense of urgency and are able to make rapid decisions
A few things you’ll focus on:
Actively manage all aspects of construction projects from implementation to completion, ensuring quality, safety, cost control, workforce understanding and customer satisfaction
Connect with project team and customers and always have a steady stream of clear communication
Liaise with vendors to ensure materials and equipment are ordered and on time
Assist Construction Manager with compiling quotes and RFP responses, ensuring clearly defined scope, cost estimates and schedules
Visit shop floor and job sites, overseeing project accuracy and controls and signing off on changes
Ensure that projects are completed on time, on budget, safely and according to customer’s requirements and scope of work
Create purchase orders, contracts, subcontractor contracts, change orders certificates of substantial completion and ensure document control for each project
Prepare and manage project budgets and forecasts; track changes and overall costs
Organize and lead kickoff meetings and ensure all employees and contractors are fully aware of project goals throughout the entire course of the project
Ensure accurate and detailed job files and project materials online and offline
Assist with the development of Lean principles throughout all construction and project management processes
Lead project management processes throughout DyTerra
