Manager, OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

OVERVIEW
This new position is ideal for a driven leader who is passionate about process and continuous improvement and eager for a chance to lead it in a small company where it’s easy to rapidly implement change. As part of the management team, you’ll think big picture, perform the details, get buy in, and guide our teams with the perfect blend of no-nonsense and understanding.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Lean, Six Sigma and 5S education and experience
  • Automotive, manufacturing or shop experience
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing operational excellence
  • An effective trainer on improvement and measurement tools
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills focused on results
  • Ability to organize and plan use of time and people effectively and efficiently
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, including an understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into operational requirements
  • Ability to travel to other branches and work effectively with people at all levels and all locations

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Introduce and lead operational excellence and a culture of continuous improvement
  • Investigate, evaluate and collaborate to build a process-driven approach
  • Identify and deliver improvements in service through proven methodologies and best practices
  • Increase value and efficiency by identifying better ways of working and reducing complexity
  • Follow up and follow through and ensure we all do the same
  • Implement the process and methods for our service and construction shops to help us meet customer expectations and deliver a great product every time
  • Foresee and identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address in advance
  • Develop plans, resolve problems and ensure projects are executed on time and on budget, assisting in all areas from scope definition to material and employment requirements to time commitments and constraints
  • Ensure proper work procedures are used at all times
